Eyelet styles

FOX manufactures FLOAT air shocks with two eyelet styles. The SV (Standard Volume) eyelet is the original FLOAT standard introduced in 2005 and is used on R, RP, DHX Air, CTD, and DPS shocks through the present. The LV (Large Volume) eyelet, introduced in 2013, is offered on FLOAT shocks and is standard on FLOAT X models — comparable positive air volume to XV sleeves at lighter weight and with superior cooling.

Air sleeve options

Each eyelet style supports multiple air-sleeve configurations:

  • SV — baseline; hard ano or Kashima.
  • SV EVOL — extra negative-chamber volume for easier travel initiation and improved small-bump compliance; hard ano or Kashima.
  • XV — SV-eyelet exclusive; larger positive chamber for a more linear spring curve.
  • LV EVOL — LV-eyelet equivalent of SV EVOL; extra negative volume, hard ano or Kashima.

Dimensions per sleeve type are published on FOX's product specification drawings, not on the eyelet overview page.
