The issue
Strut-mount suspension designs require special consideration when installing aftermarket FOX or Marzocchi coil shocks. The primary concern: shock stroke and maximum strut length must remain within the frame's design envelope to avoid mechanical interference.
Affected bikes
FOX identifies a range of strut-mount frames spanning 2018-2025, including Specialized (Levo, Kenevo, Stumpjumper Evo), Commencal Meta series, Canyon Spectral and Torque, and Polygon Xquarone and Siskiu, among others.
FOX's guidance
Check the OEM bike owner's manual for confirmation of coil-shock compatibility. Do not exceed the shock stroke or max strut length listed for your frame. Use only metric-length shocks. When in doubt, consult the original equipment manufacturer.
